What is Therapeutic Breathwork?

Your breath is the profound bridge between your conscious and subconscious states. By intentionally taking control of your breathing, you can immediately affect your internal state.

Breathwork sessions use specific rhythms as a healing tool to bring awareness to stress, tension, suppressed emotions, and limiting beliefs stored in the body, helping you to release and shift this stuck energy.

This practice is key for nervous system regulation. It guides you to safely process deep emotions and gain clarity. We then focus on integrating these releases so you can apply the benefits directly to your daily life.

Breathwork always meets you exactly where you are at; your personal intention guides the experience.

The Process​​​​​

  • Setting Your Focus: We begin with a brief conversation to set your personal intention (whether for stress release, healing, or curiosity) which will guide your unique experience.

  • The session is fully guided and supported with music. I am there to help you navigate any feelings or sensations that may arise in a safe space.

  • Active Release: Using specific breathing patterns, you bring awareness to and release stored tension, suppressed emotions, and limited beliefs held in the body.

  • Bodywork Support: I may use bodywork and energy work to help release stuck emotions and re-establish natural breathing rhythms. Touch is always optional and confirmed beforehand.

  • The Journey: The journey blends an active breathing phase (approx. 75 minutes) with a passive integration and relaxation phase to balance and harmonise the nervous system.

  • Normal Reactions: Increased oxygen can lead to physical sensations (shivering, tension, or emotional release). These are a necessary and normal part of releasing emotions.

  • Lasting Impact: While one session can create a significant shift, a regular practice offers deep, lasting benefits for your mind, body, and soul.
